Mother Dairy has announced a price cut across its dairy and food line-up following the government's recent GST 2.0 overhaul, bringing relief to consumers. The revised rates will come into force from September 22, the company confirmed.

The reduction follows sweeping GST reforms that either eliminated or lowered tax on several essential items. According to Mother Dairy, nearly all of its offerings now fall in the zero-tax bracket or the minimal 5% slab.

Popular staples such as paneer, butter, cheese, ghee, milkshakes, and ice creams are set to become more affordable. For instance, the price of a 500-gram butter pack will drop to Rs 285 from Rs 305, while a butterscotch cone ice cream will be available for Rs 30 instead of Rs 35.
