Ramesh Damani, Madhusudan Kela-owned Singularity AMC, and Utpal Sheth are among five investors who have acquired 3.3 percent stake in Prime Focus for Rs 146.2 crore via block deals on September 5.

Prime Focus shares saw gap-up opening on Friday and closed with 10 percent upper circuit at Rs 158.37 on the NSE, especially after more than a week of consolidation.

Singularity Large Value Fund I, II and III, owned by veteran investor Madhusudan Kela and his son Yash Kela bought 62.5 lakh shares (equivalent to 2.01 percent stake) in Prime Focus, which provides visual effects and animation services provider to film, television, and advertising clients worldwide, at Rs 142.55 per share.

Other marquee investors Ramesh Shrichand Damani, and Utpal H Sheth acquired 8 lakh shares, and 17.5 lakh shares in the company at same price. Among others, FE Securities, and Samyak Enterprises bought 14.55 lakh shares at same price.

On other side, Marina IV (Singapore) and Marina IV sold 48.06 lakh shares (1.55 percent stake) in Prime Focus, while Augusta Investments I offloaded 54.48 lakh shares (1.75 percent stake) at the same price.

As of June 2025, Augusta Investments I had held 8.86 percent stake, and Marina IV (Singapore) 7.55 percent shares in the company.

Tourism Finance Corporation of India was also in focus, rising 1.62 percent to Rs 346.05, and continuing upward journey for fifth consecutive session with above-average volumes, taking the total weekly gains to Rs 15 percent.

Aditya Kumar Halwasiya, the Non-Executive Director on the Tourism Finance Corporation board, has acquired 6.7 lakh shares in the company at Rs 346 per share, and 5.3 lakh shares at Rs 345.53 per share, totalling to 1.29 percent stake worth Rs 41.49 crore.

Further, promoter entity Auv Innovations LLP acquired 50 lakh shares (0.8 percent stake) in Zee Media Corporation at Rs 12.37 per share from Miloeux Media & Entertainment. The stock was up 0.5 percent to close at Rs 12.31 on Friday.
