Greaves Cotton share price settled nearly 4 percent higher on Wednesday as the company reported a jump of over 800 percent in consolidated net profit to Rs 24 crore for the quarter ended March 2025. It had reported Rs 2.6 crore in the same quarter last year.
Shares of Greaves Cotton Ltd closed at Rs 196.6 per share on the NSE, up 3.83 percent. Intraday, the stock made a high of Rs 209.68 apiece, higher by 10.74 percent. The stock gained after four consecutive sessions of fall, buoyed by the strong March quarter results
Meanwhile, shares of Ujjivan SFB, Exide settled lower in Thursday's trade.
Ujjivan Small Finance Bank shares settled at Rs 42.4 per share on the NSE, declining 3.42 percent. The sharp cut in the share price was seen after the lender on Wednesday reported a slump of 75 percent in net profit to Rs 83.39 crore for three months ended March 2025, hurt by higher provisions for bad loans. The bank had posted a net profit of Rs 329.63 crore in the year-ago period.
Exide Industries shares closed 5.81 percent lower at Rs 348.45 after it posted 11 percent fall in Q4 profit to Rs 254.6 crore. Revenue from operations for the quarter under review stood at Rs 4,159.42 crore, up from Rs 4,009.39 crore in Q4FY24, a year-on-year growth of 4 per cent, it said.
