Premier Energies Ltd has acquired a 34.21 percent equity stake in Transcon Ind Ltd for Rs 250 crore as part of the first tranche of its proposed acquisition, the company said in a regulatory filing.

The proposed transaction involves the acquisition of a 51 percent equity shareholding in Transcon Ind.

The timeline for completion of the balance tranche has been revised, with the final date now set as February 20, 2026.

The remaining equity shares, which will take the total shareholding to 51 percent, will be acquired subsequently, subject to the fulfilment of conditions precedent specified in the amended Share Subscription and Shareholders’ Agreement (SSSHA), the company said.

Premier Energies said it received intimation regarding the completion of the first tranche from Transcon Ind on December 24, 2025.

Shares of the company settled higher at Rs 886 per share on the NSE, up 0.63 percent.
