    Asia chasing Asia: Japan, Korea lead the way in Nifty-tracking passive funds

    With eleven new funds launched in FY25 alone, the growth of passive funds tracking Indian indices was around 83 percent on-year, with a more than five-fold growth compared to FY23.

    As of March 2025, there are 33 international passive funds tracking Nifty indices. These include 20 ETFs and 13 index funds, collectively managing assets worth $4.3 billion.
