Ahead of the India-AI Impact Summit 2026 in New Delhi, the Consulate General of India in Seattle hosted a curtain-raiser focused on People, Planet, and Progress, bringing together lawmakers and technology executives.
The pre-event roundtable, held at the Indian Consulate’s new chancery premises on November 7, featured expert presentations by leading tech CEOs from the Greater Seattle area. Key discussions were held on the use of artificial intelligence in Agri-Tech, as well as the growing potential of data centres and digital infrastructure in India.
Participants also briefed US Congressman Adam Smith, Ranking Member of the House Armed Services Committee, and Congressman Michael Baumgartner, Member of the House Judiciary and Foreign Affairs Committees, on India’s strides in artificial intelligence. They highlighted the “Seven Chakras” or themes for global cooperation, encompassing Safe and Trusted AI, Human Capital, Science, Resilience and Innovation, Inclusion and Social Empowerment, Democratizing AI Resources, and Economic Growth and Social Good.
The November 7 event marked the first in a series of planned pre-summit sessions leading up to the India-AI Impact Summit. Additional workshops and briefings are scheduled for early 2026 at leading universities in the US Pacific Northwest and with major technology and AI industry stakeholders.
Notably, the India-AI Impact Summit 2026, to be held from February 19-20 at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi, will be the first global-scale AI summit hosted in the Global South. The event aims to bring together governments, industry leaders, academia, and startups from around the world to turn AI’s potential into tangible outcomes for People, Planet, and Progress, reaffirming India’s vision of “AI for All.”
