Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee while presenting the Union Budget 2011 says, micro irrigation is an environment friendly and efficient means of irrigation especially for dry land farming. I propose to reduce the basic customs duty on micro irrigation equipment from 7.4% to 5%.
