ICICIdirect.com has come out with its second quarter (July-September) earnings estimates for the FMCG sector. The brokerage house expects Tata Global Beverage to report a 5.1 percent growth quarter-on-quarter (down 17.1 percent Y-o-Y) in net profit at Rs 117.3 crore.

Revenue of Tata Global Beverage are expected to increase by 16.5 percent Q-o-Q (up 13.6 percent Y-o-Y) to Rs 2092.3 crore.

Earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) are likely to rise by 12 percent Q-o-Q (up 44 percent Y-o-Y) to Rs 232 crore.

ICICIdirect.com's Report on Tata Global Beverage:

Revenue growth in the standalone business (India) is expected at 14.6 percent Y-o-Y with international revenues posting growth of 13.1 percent (largely driven by favourable currency impact). EBITDA margins would witness a significant jump by 230 bps on the back of lower RM cost to sales ratio (lower by 150 bps Y-o-Y) and lower employee and marketing expenses. We remain wary of the volume growth of tea in the UK and coffee business revenues from the US.
