Steel Authority of India Ltd (SAIL) has reported a 31.3 percent decline in net profit at Rs 897.2 crore in the second quarter of the current financial year from year-ago period.
In the June quarter, the steel company posted a net profit of Rs 81.78 crore, the company said in an exchange filing.
on November 8 morning, the SAIL stock was trading at Rs 118.95 on the National Stock Exchange, down 3.57 percent from the previous close.
The company’s revenue was down slipped 17 percent at Rs 24,675.2 crore from Rs 29,712 crore in the year-ago period, the filing said.
The firm’s EBITDA was down 24.8 percent at Rs 2,912.8 crore. The margin came in at 11.8 percent, down from 13 percent in the year-ago period.
