Power Grid Corporation of India's Q2 earnings came bang in line with estimates with a mild surprise on margins despite higher employee costs. In an interview to CNBC-TV18's Yash Jain, IS Jha, CMD, Power Grid spoke about the results and his outlook for the company.
Generally first two quarters are hard because of the rainy season but this year, it was good, he said.
This year we will certainly get the targets, he added.
We never plan the capex, we plan the transmission system. After planning the transmission system, we calculate the capex required. Rs 25,000 crore is enough to commission the project, which are coming up in this year. So we are retaining Rs 25,000 crore of capex. If some project gets advanced, it may cross Rs 25,000 crore, said Jha.
