Moneycontrol Bureau Besides surprising the street with firm results for Q4FY16, Infosys has also managed to take control of its attrition level. The IT major's attrition level fell to 17.3 percent in Q4 compared to 18.1 percent, a quarter-ago period. UB Pravin Rao, COO says that lower attrition level is reflective of increased engagement with people all through the year and steps to make Infosys an exciting place for the world’s best talent. The company's employee strength has increased 10 percent in the year ended March 31,2016. Total number of employees at Infosys was 194044 in FY16. Number of trainees in Q4 was 6098. Rahul Jain - Vice President, Systematix Shares & Stocks says, "This year you can see that the employee addition is roughly around 10 percent and there is a revenue growth ahead of it. So, that should be a trend going forward but that needs to take up some pace given the aspiration of USD 80,000 per employee kind of productivity which Infosys is guiding for."In Q3, Infosys gross addition was 9034 from 14027 in Q3. IT software major Infosys' fourth quarter profit and operating profit beat analysts' expectations on Friday while revenue matched estimates. Profit grew by 3.8 percent to Rs 3,597 crore in January-March quarter compared to Rs 3,465 crore in preceding quarter despite fall in other income. Rupee revenue increased 4.1 percent sequentially to 16,550 crore from Rs 13,411 crore in same period. Dollar revenue in Q4 rose 1.6 percent to USD 2,446 million and 1.9 percent in constant currency compared to preceding quarter.
