DB Corp Q4 net profit flat at Rs 64 crore

Its net sales on consolidated basis rose 6.02 per cent to Rs 505.92 crore in the same quarter of 2015-16 as against Rs 477.17 crore in the year-ago period.

Media firm DB Corp's consolidated net profit remained flat at Rs 64.24 crore for the March quarter.

The company had posted a net profit of Rs 63.99 crore in the January-March quarter of 2014-15, DB Corp said in a BSE filing.

Its net sales on consolidated basis rose 6.02 per cent to Rs 505.92 crore in the same quarter of 2015-16 as against Rs 477.17 crore in the year-ago period.

Revenue from printing and publishing of newspaper and periodicals surged 5 percent to Rs 470.84 crore in the fourth quarter compared with Rs 448.40 crore in the same period a year ago.

Radio segment revenue rose 11.35 per cent during the quarter under review to Rs 29.71 crore compared with Rs 26.68 crore in the same period of the previous fiscal.

For the entire fiscal, DB Corp's consolidated net profit declined 6.22 per cent to Rs 296.64 crore as against Rs 316.34 crore in 2014-15.

Its net sales increased 2.14 per cent to Rs 2,021.72 crore in 2015-16 compared with Rs 1,979.18 crore in the preceding fiscal.

In a separate filing, DB Corp informed that its board in a meeting held today has recommended a final dividend of Rs 4.25 per equity share of face value of Rs 10 each for the 2015-16 fiscal.

DB corp publishes seven newspapers including Dainik Bhaskar, Divya Bhaskar, Divya Marathi and operates FM channels 'My FM' in 17 cities.

DB Corp shares were trading 0.38 percent up at Rs 319 on BSE in the pre-close session.
