Software services provider Mahindra Satyam (erstwhile Satyam Computer Services) has reported a better than expected increase of 5.7% in its net profit of Rs 238 crore for the second quarter of FY12 as against Rs 225.2 crore in a previous quarter. This was due to the depreciation in the rupee.
