Punj Lloyd gets Rs 1,195 crore worth thermal power contract

Punj Lloyd has won Rs 1,195 crore worth order for thermal power project from Haldia Energy, a subsidiary of Calcutta Electric Supply Co (CESC).

Punj Lloyd has won Rs 1,195 crore worth order for thermal power project from Haldia Energy, a subsidiary of Calcutta Electric Supply Co (CESC).

The 2x300 mega watt power plant project is scheduled for commissioning by 2014 and will boost the electricity supply in Kolkata and its suburbs, Punj Lloyd said Wednesday.

With this contract, the company now has an order backlog of Rs 25,133 crore on a consolidated basis, it said.

Punj Lloyd shares Wednesday closed down 1% at Rs 54.65 on NSE.
