PC Jeweller closes manufacturing unit in Dehradun

PC Jeweller today said it has decided to close one of its manufacturing unit in Dehradun as part of a consolidation process.
In a filing to the BSE, PC Jeweller said "the board of directors has decided to shut down its manufacturing unit located at Selaqui, Dehradun due to operational reasons"."We have two jewellery manufacturing units in Dehradun. We have decided to close a smaller unit of 2,300 sq ft as part of consolidation process," PC Jeweller Director (Finance) Sanjeev Bhatia said.Also read: Don't see fall in gold jewellery demand: TitanThe company used to manufacture hand-made jewellery from this unit and there was not much machinery, he added. PC Jeweller will be left with four plants -- one in Dehradun and three in Noida.Shares of the company closed 0.17 per cent higher at Rs 118.25 apiece on the BSE.
