    Jairam Ramesh writes to PM on coal shortage

    In a bid to help ease India's coal shortage, environment minister Jairam Ramesh wrote to the Prime Minister to inform that 50 million tonnes of coal was lying idle due to evacuation issues, reports Mehak Kasbekar of CNBC-TV18.
