Effective immediately, E1+ will be available at a reduced price of Rs 89,999 (ex-showroom price) and the offer is valid till March 31st, 2024.

While monsoons are long awaited, it is already raining discounts in the Electric Two-Wheeler (E2W) industry. After price cuts announced by Ola Electric, Ather Energy, Okaya EV, another Electric Vehicle (EV) startup Bounce Infinity had made one of its e-scooters affordable by 21 percent.

The Sequoia Capital-backed smart mobility firm has announced a price reduction of Rs 24,000 on its E1+ range of e-scooters. Effective immediately, E1+ variant will be available at a reduced price of Rs 89,999 (ex-showroom price) and the offer is valid till March 31.

"This significant price reduction reflects our dedication to addressing consumer needs for affordability, performance, and ease of use. Our scooters offer features like portable batteries and chargers for charging, extended range, and smart connectivity, all at a price point that truly democratises electric mobility. This isn't just about savings; it's about empowering everyone to join the green revolution and experience the future of mobility," COO and Co-Founder Anil G said in an official release.

However, the prices of its other electric scooters such as E1 LE (available at Rs 1,08,064) and E1 (available at Rs 1,04,999) remain unchanged.

It may be recalled that Bounce Infinity had launched the E1+ in December 2021. It started commencing deliveries of the e-scooter in April 2022.

The Bangalore-based EV startup claims that its e-scooters are equipped with a 2.2 kW peak power motor, giving a top speed of 65 kmph. Additionally, they are equipped with 2 kWh lithium Ion NMC batteries which are certified as per the latest IAS 156 battery standard and deliver a range of 85 plus km (as per IDC), as per the company’s claims.

“The USP of Bounce Infinity EV is that the batteries are removable and can be charged like a cell phone using any 15 Amp wall socket. Industry-leading liquid-cooled battery technology ensures optimal performance and durability in any weather condition, while features like quick charging and extended range address common concerns about electric vehicles, the company said in a release.

Recently, Bhavish-Aggarwal-led Ola Electric reduced the prices of their electric scooters by up to Rs 25,000 until February-end.  As a result, the S1 Pro, S1 Air and S1X+ are now priced at Rs 130,000, Rs 105,000, and Rs 85,000 (all ex-showroom) respectively.  The EV startup claims that it has managed to garner 10,000 bookings within three days of this announcement.

Another EV startup, Ather Energy, had recently gone for a Rs 20,000 price cut on the 450S, which is now available at a starting price of Rs 1.09 lakh in Bengaluru and Rs 97,500 in Delhi.

Okaya EV has announced a substantial reduction in the prices of all its electric vehicle models, with discounts of up to Rs 18,000 valid till February 29. Okaya's electric scooter models now start at Rs 74,899.
