Bentley launches Bentayga Extended Wheelbase for Rs 6 crore

Bentley Motors Limited announced the launch of the Bentayga Extended Wheelbase (EWB) in the Indian market with their official partner, Exclusive Motors on January 20. The new variant of the ultra-luxury Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV) is priced at Rs 6 crore (ex-showroom, Delhi), subject to exchange rate fluctuations, customization and government taxes.

Just like other Bentley models, Bentayga  EWB version will be imported as a Completely Built Unit (CBU) from the British super luxury carmaker's facility Crewe, United Kingdom and nearly 20 units will be delivered this year.

Commenting on the launch, Satya Bagla, Managing Director, Exclusive Motors said: “The new Bentayga Extended Wheelbase is the next chapter in the Bentayga story. This new SUV has a rear-cabin experience comparable to the legendary Mulsanne. “ He added, “While we have started taking orders, our customers will get the delivery in 8–9 months once they book the model.”

It is to be mentioned that the Bentley Bentayga is a super luxury crossover SUV produced by Bentley Motors since late 2015 and the EWB variant is 180 mm longer than the standard version.  It is powered by a V8 twin-turbo 4.0-litre engine that produces 542 bhp horsepower and and 770Nm of torque. The engine, which is mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission, is said to be capable of reaching 100 km/h in 4.6 seconds and reaching a top speed of 290 km/h.

Meanwhile, Exclusive Motors stated that with the addition of the new model, it is aiming for at least 40% sales growth in the current year over 2022. It has a retail presence in three cities, Delhi, Mumbai and Hyderabad from where it caters to the customers.

"We sold 40 units last year and this year we are looking to sell around 60 units in the country," stated Bagla on the sidelines of the launch.
