Exit polls 2023: When and where to watch Rajasthan poll predictions?

A total of 5,25,38,105 voters decided the fate of 1,862 candidates.

Rajasthan is one of the states that conducted assembly elections on November 25, with a total turnout of 74.13 percent. Voting commenced in the early morning at 7 am for 199 assembly seats. Reports indicate that areas such as Fatehpur Shekhawati in Sikar experienced incidents of stone pelting.

The counting of votes, where a total of 5,25,38,105 voters decided the fate of 1,862 candidates, will begin on December 3. The ruling Congress is aiming for another term in governance, while the BJP is relying on the popularity of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

In Rajasthan, the BJP had given tickets to 59 MLAs, including defected Congress MLA Girraj Singh Malinga, six Lok Sabha members, and one Rajya Sabha member. The Congress, on the other hand, fielded 97 MLAs, including seven independents. Rajasthan is known for its anti-incumbency trend, with the state often oscillating between the Congress and BJP in each election. The saffron party is hopeful that the state will once again vote out the grand old party and welcome the BJP.

The campaign in the state national leaders from both the BJP and Congress participated in multiple rallies. For the Congress, national president Mallikarjun Kharge, senior party leaders Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi, Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, and others campaigned across the state. The BJP campaign was led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah.

What are exit polls?

When will the exit polls be announced?

The exit poll results of Rajasthan Assembly elections will be announced on November 30 after 6 pm.  The poll panel, which manages elections across the country, had prohibited “conducting and publishing or publicising exit poll by means of print or electronic media or dissemination in any other manner whatsoever” between 7 am on November 7 and 6.30 pm on November 30.
