Actor Samantha Ruth Prabhu has tied the knot with director Raj Nidimoru. She had a low-key wedding with only 30 close ones present at the wedding ceremony. Samantha wore a beautiful red saree for the occasion. The wedding took place on December 1 at the Ling Bhairavi temple inside Isha Yoga Centre, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, in morning hours.
Samantha was earlier married to actor Naga Chaitanya and they got separated after 4 years of marriage. Whereas, Raj was wedded to Sshyamali De and they got divorced in 2022.
Samantha and Raj are not the first celebrity couple to get married in the temple. In the past, there have been other celebrities too who decided to go for minimalistic temple wedding.
Sridevi and Boney KapoorAs per many reports, Sridevi and Boney had fallen in love while the latter was still married to his first wife Mona Kapoor. In fact, Sridevi was reportedly pregnant with Boney's child before marriage. The two of them got married in a temple on June 2, 1996.
Aditi Rao Hydari and SiddharthMadly in love, the duo decided to tie the knot in a simple temple wedding. The private ceremony took place in one of the temples in Telangana. Aditi wore a Maheshwari tissue lehenga with a Banarasi tissue dupatta from Sabyasachi Heritage Textile collection. Siddharth, too had worn a silk kurta from the designer along with a handwoven Banarasi dhoti with a veshti.
Paresh Rawal and Swaroop SampatThe two of them had a simple marriage in Lakshmi Narayan temple in Mumbai. The couple had reportedly waited for 12 long years before tying the knot. Their wedding didn't have a grand decor, no mandap and no rituals. What's beautiful is that the two of them took their vows under the shade of banyan trees in the compound of the temple.

Arti Singh and Dipak ChauhanThe couple got married at Iskcon temple in Mumbai. Arti had mentioned in one of her interviews that, "I like the simplicity, I like being simple. My wedding is in Iskcon Temple. Mera mann waisa he tha karne ka and I am happy everything is happening that way."
