Prince William and Princess Catherine meet Paddington at Royal Variety Performance, their pictures are too cute to miss

The pictures of Prince and Princess of Wales shaking hands with Paddington bear are all over the internet. Our guess is the children of the duo would be pretty envious right now. At the year's Royal Variety Performance, Paddington bear was one of the performers. He entertained the royal couple with his musical performance.

There was a lovely exchange that took place between the Paddington bear and the couple. William complimented the bear by saying that his singing was completely incredible. To this, Paddington tipped his hat. William also happened to mention, "Can I shake your hand? Your sandwich looks very nice."

Princess of Wales expressed her regret for her children missing the chance to greet with Paddington. While talking to 9-year-old twins Emelie and Olivia Edwards, the princess mentioned that, 'My kiddies will be very sad [to have missed the show], we are going to have to keep it a big secret.'

Did you know there's a connection that Paddington shares with the Royal family? Well, yes! The character had appeared in a sketch with the late Queen Elizabeth II for her platinum jubilee in 2022. In fact, when the queen had died in September that year, a lot of her fans and well-wishers had left Paddington toys and marmalade sandwiches outside her residences.

For the uninitiated, the Royal Variety Performance is a televised variety show which is held annually in the UK to raise money for the Royal Variety Charity. This year, the event was hosted by Jason Manford.

Besides, pictures of Catherine and singer Jessie J are getting a warm response too. Both women are cancer survivors. "Mum to mum, who has just recently gone through cancer, I just wanted to give her a hug," Jessie J said afterwards.
