Janhvi Kapoor’s sartorial choices this year have been nothing short of unexpected and exciting. She has walked global red carpets wearing stylish ethnic ensembles and continues to do so with her films that have been released or are set to see theatrical openings soon.
Recently, for the trailer launch of her film, the actress sported a stunning rose pink lehenga with soft dreamy details, making it one of the hottest picks for the festive season. While the timing of the ensemble’s debut is just about right, what sets it apart is the vintage touch in a modern design.
As Manish Malhotra shared, Janhvi’s lehenga is “a timeless story of vintage lace, pearls, and Swarovski.” Its beautiful white floral embroidery on a rose pink hue, beautified with classic pearls and sprinkled with Swarovski, makes it a glamorous affair. It’s styled with an equally dazzling blouse adorned with similar work.
The actress was styled with matching pearl danglers and a pink gemstone-style ring, which enhanced the dreamy vibe of the ensemble. Her makeup was pitch-perfect, featuring a glowing base, soft pink eyeshadow, oodles of mascara, perfectly sculpted pink-gold cheeks, and glossy pink lipstick. Her centre-parted hair was given a straight, smooth finish.
Many fans dropped pink hearts appreciating the desi look. A user wrote, “How beautiful is her lehenga!” Another said, “Looking extremely beautiful in traditional, very pretty.” Others called her “beautiful,” “national crush,” and “Param Sundari.”
Janhvi was recently at TIFF 2025 for the premiere of her film Homebound, along with Ishaan Khatter and Vishal Jethwa, where she donned some of the most exquisite modern Indian outfits, styled by Rhea Kapoor and Sanya Kapoor.
Starting with a resham saree designed by Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla, Janhvi looked stunning in the jamawar-inspired creation, teamed with a matching vintage men’s jacket and a shawl.

The second was a Prada-inspired saree from the brand’s Spring 2004 collection — an eclectic gold number styled with slender heels inspired by Kolhapuri chappals by Aprajita Toor.
The third marked her red carpet appearance in a custom Miu Miu polka gown, again an interpretation of the Indian saree, which featured a trail and a soft brown fur stole.
Finally, she ended her TIFF trip with a Ritu Kumar ochre-black capri suit, which the designer detailed on Instagram as “crafted in autumnal tones with Persian symmetry and jamawar influences.”
