Actor Samantha Ruth Prabhu and filmmaker Raj Nidimoru quietly made their relationship official with a deeply spiritual wedding ceremony at the Linga Bhairavi temple in Coimbatore, leaving fans surprised when they made the news official on December 1.

The actress shared the first glimpses from the ceremony on Instagram, confirming that the couple had tied the knot in a ceremony reflecting ancient yogic tradition.

The ceremony was attended by close family and a handful of friends.

The wedding took place at the Isha Yoga Centre, where the couple participated in the Bhuta Shuddhi Vivaha,  a rare and highly significant consecration offered at Linga Bhairavi abodes. This ritual is designed to purify and harmonise the five elements within each individual, creating an elemental bond said to go beyond emotions and physical connection.

The photos posted by Samantha show the couple exchanging rings and garlands, offering prayers at the Linga Bhairavi temple, and their smiles beneath a floral arch. One particular detailed shot captured the intricacies of Samantha's mangalsutra, wedding ring and mehendi. The photographs radiate a warmth and express the beauty of an authentic and grounded ceremony.

The wedding took place in a serene and sacred setting with flickering lamps, flower-lined pathways, and the subtle fragrance of incense created a tranquil backdrop for the ceremony.

While Samantha’s official post offered a small glimpse of the beautiful wedding, her close friend Shilpa Reddy shared more personal and intimate visuals that brought the ceremony’s aesthetic into focus

In one photograph, One photo shows Samantha and Raj, hand in hand, with their families on each side, all smiling after completing the wedding rituals. Another image shows the couple seated together during another puja. A warm, natural colour palette of the temple, along with the bright red of Samantha's saree, makes for a softly beautiful composition.

The arrangements around them add detail to the wedding’s spiritual theme, the turmeric-smeared coconuts, fresh betel leaves, kumkum, flowers, grains, sacred powders and neatly folded ceremonial cloth placed around the havan kund. Shilpa's post also shared a glimpse of the deity, adorned in layers of fresh garlands and surrounded by traditional offerings, which reinforces the deeply devotional nature of the ceremony.

The wedding gifts handed out at the ceremony included incense crafted from flowers offered at the temple, a handwritten note from Sadhguru, artisanal chocolate bars made in India, and a perfume from Secret Alchemist, a brand personally selected by Samantha.

Samantha chose a classic red bridal look, adorning a red Banarasi silk saree paired with traditional gold jewellery. Her hair was neatly tied into a low bun decorated with fresh jasmine, and her makeup was minimal, glowing and elegant. Raj complemented her with a white kurta-pyjama teamed with a beige Nehru jacket.
