Actor Shah Rukh Khan, the global superstar, has featured in the New York Times Most Stylish People 2025 list. He happens to be the only Indian who made it to the coveted list. Does it come as a surprise? Well, not really, given his Met Gala 2025 look was a conversation starter. NYT shared an image of SRK from his Met Gala debut in May 2025 and wrote, "Known by his army of fans simply as SRK, Bollywood's biggest star and one of the world's most famous actors brought the Met Gala into his orbit as a first-time guest. (He wore a design by Sabyasachi Mukherjee.)"

SRK donned on a floor-length coat that was made from Tasmanian superfine wool and one that featured monogrammed Japanese horn buttons. The coat was hand canvassed, single breasted and featured a peak collar with wide lapels. To round off the look in absolute style, SRK wore a crepe de chine silk shirt and tailored wool trousers. Additionally, he also wore a pleated kamarbandh in satin material.

One look at his pictures from Met Gala and one thing that undeniably catches the eye is the custom stack of talismanic chains. And of course, then there is a crystal-studded pendant featuring letter 'K' and a diamond star brooch at the lapel. Khan also wore rings to complement the look.

He also carried the Bengal Tiger Head Cane that is crafted in 18k gold and embellished with tourmalines, sapphires, old mine-cut and brilliant-cut diamonds to make his entire look appear more edgy. Clearly, at his first time at Met Gala, SRK made a mark with a solid fashion statement.

Speaking about SRK's look, designer Sabyasachi wrote, "Shah Rukh Khan is one of the greatest superstars in the world. A cinematic hero, his blockbuster performances and leading-man charisma have created a legendary international fan following."

"My interpretation of the Black Dandy is demonstrating his superstardom on a global stage. Dressed in classic menswear with the maximalist flourish of Sabyasachi, Shah Rukh Khan is a magician, superstar, and icon. Period," the ace designer concluded.

In the pictures, SRK exuded poise like no other. He looked like as if he was there at the event to slay and quite effortlessly so. However, SRK in an interview to Guy Trebay, a reporter of Style section of NYT, shared that he had never been nervous like this. "I'm wondering if I can run away from this now," the actor had said.
