If you are looking to bring some positive energy into your life, whether it is in your home or your office, consider adding these plants to your space. You don’t need to be an expert gardener to grow these plants. These easy-to-grow plants will surely add personality to your desk or your living room. So if you want to feel motivated, here are 4 plants that will bring positive energy into your home or office.

Tulsi

Every house should have a Tulsi, not just for its religious significance but for the positive energy it brings to your house. It is said that lightning never falls on a house that has the Tulsi plant.

Care tips

The Tulsi plant needs at least 4 hours of direct bright sunlight. Protect it from the harsh summer sun and bring it indoors.

Avoid sticky or clay-like soil. Tulsi prefers well-draining, aerated soil and organic manure.

Make sure you are not watering too frequently, which can lead to overwatering. Water only when the top inch of the soil is dry.

Remove the flowers from your tulsi plant as they take a lot of energy from the plant. Regular pruning will help the plant grow faster.

Lucky bamboo

It is said that the Lucky Bamboo brings good fortune, prosperity, and harmony. This plant can thrive in water and is easy to care for, making it ideal for homes and offices.

Care tips

Keep the plant in a well-lit bright spot.

If growing in water, remember to change the water at least every 7-10 days to prevent any mould from forming.

Add a liquid fertilizer every couple of months and see it grow rapidly.

If planted in soil, make sure the soil is chunky and well-draining.

Water only when the top inch of the soil is dry and water thoroughly till you see the water coming out from the bottom of the pot.

If you see brown tips, you are likely overwatering. Cut back on your watering and bring the plant closer to the light.

Snake plant (Sansevieria)

The Snake Plant is an excellent air purifier and is believed also a great air-purifying plant. It can absorb toxins and release oxygen, making it great for improving indoor air quality. The positive energy it will bring to your home makes it ideal to keep in the bedroom.

Care tips

The snake plant is easy to grow for those who forget to water their plants regularly.

Water sparingly, every two to eight weeks, or when the top two inches of the soil are dry.

They prefer bright light but can also tolerate low light. Keep them out of direct summer sun.

Snake plants prefer sandy soil and a well-draining potting mix.

These plants can be easily propagated from their leaves. Cut a long leaf with sharp scissors and plop it into water with some hydrogen peroxide. Don’t forget to change the water frequently and keep a bright spot in your home. When new roots grow, you can transfer them into the soil.

Jade plant

The Jade Plant is considered a symbol of wealth and prosperity in Feng Shui. Its round, coin-shaped leaves are thought to attract financial success and positive energy.

Care tips

Jade plants are a kind of succulent so place them in bright, indirect light. They can tolerate a few hours of direct sunlight in a day, too.

Water when the top 1-2 inches of soil is very dry. Cut back on watering in the winter.

Fertilise sparingly, and only when the plant shows signs of new growth.

Jade can get mealy bugs on them. Spray neem oil regularly to keep pests away.

If the leaves are dropping off your plant, check on the watering. If the soil is wet for long, cut back on the watering, and if the soil feels too dry to touch, adjust the frequency of your watering accordingly.

These four plants are not only easy to care for but, they also bring positive energy into your home, and are easy to keep, whether you have a big house or an apartment. They work great for offices, too, adding a touch of green to a boring cubicle.
