While there may be a Sunday binge, Shilpa Shetty sure knows how to get back on track at the start of the week. She posted a ball drop challenge today (May 5), nailing it like a pro and detailing its benefits on Instagram.
In the video, the actress is seen holding a plank position that engages her core, arms, shoulders, and legs. Meanwhile, she throws and catches a tennis ball from one hand to the other. This helps with hand-eye coordination, balance, and reaction time.
She adds to the challenge by wearing wrist weights, which create resistance and increase muscle engagement. This type of workout is part of functional fitness, aimed at improving stability and overall efficiency.
Sharing the video on Instagram, Shilpa wrote: “Ball Drop Challenge! Bring it on… Don’t miss the eyes. Tests your: Core Strength, Shoulder Stability, Hand-Eye Coordination, Reaction Time.”
The actress threw the challenge open to her followers by adding, “How long can you keep catching without dropping the ball or collapsing? #MondayMotivation #SwasthRahoMastRaho #FitIndia.”
Shilpa, who has been part of Bollywood for decades, is quite the style icon. While her formal outings are glamorous, her gym wear is no less striking. The actress likes to keep it both functional and fashionable.
For her workout, she is seen in a white tank top with the words “Iron State of Mind” printed on it. It is paired with black workout leggings featuring white stripes on the sides and fiery red sports shoes. Her hair is tied in a ponytail, and she is seen in minimal makeup.
It’s not just fitness - Shilpa believes in wellness, too. She recently took time out of her schedule for a solo trip, sans husband and kids. The actress shared a video of the time she spent alone after almost a decade.
She wrote: “Travel far, travel wide, and travel alone. For in solitude, you find yourself. My SOLO trip in a decade… was worth the wait.”
