Russian fitness coach, who was consuming 10,000 plus calories a day, dies in his sleep during binge-eating challenge

Russian fitness influencer participated in a binge-eating challenge just to prove a point that all the gained weight can be lost via his weight loss programme However, he passed away in his sleep while the challenge was still going on.

Russian fitness coach and influencer Dmitry Nuyanzin (30) is no more. He died in his sleep and this happened during a time when he was participating in a binge-eating challenge. His idea was to promote his weight-loss programme.

As part of the challenge, Nuyanzin spent weeks consuming junk food and his goal was to gain 25 kilos. Can you guess the amount of calories he was consuming per day? Well, it was more than 10,000 calories every day. He went to this extreme length as he had planned to lose all the gained weight through his weight loss programme to showcase to people that a transformation is possible, as per a report by People.

Just a day before Nuyanzin passed away in his sleep, he had called his friends and told them he was not feeling well. He also intended to see a doctor. In fact, he cancelled all his training sessions for the day also.

As part of the challenge, Nuyanzin had gained about 13 kilos in just a span of a month and he weighed 105 kilos.

If you see his snaps and videos on his Instagram page, you will realise one thing instantly and that is from having a sculpted body, he went on to acquire a lot of fat around his belly. In fact, in one of the videos, while showing his fat deposits around belly, he also grabbed a packed of lays and started eating from it.

It is obvious you would be curious to know what his diet looked like while he was on a binge-eating spree. Well, Nuyanzin was actually on a high calorie diet which included pastries and cakes for breakfast, dumplings with mayonnaise spread on it for lunch and a burger with two small pizzas for dinner.

"For breakfast, I have a plate of pastries and half a cake. For lunch, I usually eat 800 grams [nearly 2 lbs.] of dumplings with mayonnaise," he'd said. "During the day, I may snack on crisps, and for dinner, I have a burger and two small pizzas, either at a cafe or delivered."

Nuyanzin was a graduate of the Orenburg Olympic Reserve School and the National Fitness University in St Petersburg. He had worked as a personal coach to elite Russians for a decade.
