  • Diabetes: People with diabetes need extra care while fasting. It’s always important to consult a doctor, follow a proper diet and regularly monitor blood sugar levels during Ramadan.

  • Kidney health: Ramadan fasting does not allow drinking water during the day, which can lead to dehydration. Ramadan fasting does not affect kidney function or urine health in those who lead a healthy lifestyle, suggest studies. However, staying hydrated during non-fasting hours is still essential to protect kidney health.
