Lok Sabha Elections 2024: How to check your name in voters' list online

The general election to elect the members of the 18th Lok Sabha will take place in seven phases

With just over two weeks to go for the Lok Sabha elections, people all over the country are gearing up to cast their votes. The general election to elect the members of the 18th Lok Sabha will take place in seven phases starting from April 19 to June 1, while the counting of votes will be done on June 4.

With over 97 crore individuals eligible to vote in the upcoming election, the Election Commission (EC) recently announced ways to check whether the name of a particular individual is there on the voter list or not. Checking the names on the list is important for individuals in order to avoid unnecessary hassle on the day of polling.

Go to the government's electoral search portal using your phone, PC or laptop -- https://electoralsearch.eci.gov.in/

On being opened, there are three ways to search for your name -- Search by details, search by EPIC, and search by mobile.

1. Select your language

2. Enter your EPIC number and state

3. Enter the captcha code that is displayed on the page and click on search

2. Fill in your personal details – Name, middle name, surname, date of birth, age, gender, relatives’ first and last name

3. Enter your location details – district and assembly constituency

4. Enter the captcha code as displayed and click on search

1. Choose your state and language

2. Enter your mobile number and captcha code

3. Click on send OTP to receive a one-time password on your mobile

4. Enter the OTP received on your smartphone, then click on search

After entering the details through any one of the methods stated above, you will find your name in the voter's list along with personal details, confirmed polling date, polling station information, among others.
