The legal fight over late businessman Sunjay Kapur's Rs 30,000 crore estate has been the centre of public attention for a while now, especially after his children, Samiara and Kiaan, approached the court regarding his will.

Amidst that, a video of his wife, Priya Sachdev, from her older days has now surfaced online, in which she is seen speaking about parenting children of different age groups as a mother on a podcast.

During one of the podcasts on the YouTube channel Kin and Kindness in May, Priya Sachdev revealed how she went through figuring out parenting across different generations of children. While her daughter from her ex-husband is 18, her son with Sunjay, Azarias is 6 and Sunjay's kids with Karisma are 20 and 15 respectively.

Priya said, "It's very challenging. Like I have to take care of a 20-year-old, an 18-year-old, a 15-year-old (very temperamental, raging hormones, mood swings) and a six-year-old also. The older kids have become more like friends to the parents. So, parenting has been stopped. Yes, there are boundaries. We have set a sort of value system and asked them you have to respect it. They do. They are well grounded, humble."

She further said that she chose to become a full-time mother to her son after she missed doing certain things while her daughter was young.

"I have become a full-time mom now. I stopped my business after Covid. Things I couldn't do with Safira, I am doing with my son. I was working then, emotionally going through a lot. Probably, I was blinded. I was busy with packing my life back together after falling on the ground. And then I stood up," she added.

Priya also said, "For my son, there are school drops, pick-ups, play dates, activities, I have to do it. The juggling is there. My husband is dealing with the same dynamics. A few months ago, we were filling forms for Safira. I am not a young mom. Still, I am doing activities for my son."

Sanjay Kapur tragically passed away on June 12 after suffering a cardiac arrest during a polo match in England. In the wake of his sudden demise, a long-standing property dispute within the Kapur family has now come to the forefront.

Sunjay and actress Karisma Kapoor tied the knot in 2003. The couple welcomed their daughter Samaira in 2005 and later, their son Kiaan in 2011. However, soon after the couple filed for a divorce by mutual consent and it was finalised in 2016. Following that, Sunjay got married to Priya Sachdev.
