Saif Ali Khan made headlines after a shocking incident at his Bandra home on January 16, 2025, where he was stabbed by an intruder, leaving him severely injured. The actor sustained six deep wounds while defending himself and was immediately taken to the hospital for emergency surgery. Doctors successfully removed a knife lodged near his spinal cord. However, this wasn’t the first time Saif had faced such an attack. In an old interview, he recalled a past incident where he was struck with a whiskey glass during a nightclub altercation in Delhi.

Back in the 90s, after the premiere of Tu Khiladi Main Anari, Saif Ali Khan visited a nightclub in Delhi with his friends. The evening took an unexpected turn when a man approached him, insisting that he dance with his girlfriend. When Saif declined, the situation escalated into a heated altercation, ultimately leading to the man attacking him.

In his interview with Neha Dhupia on No Filter Neha Season 5, Saif Ali Khan recounted an incident where he was attacked with a whiskey glass. He shared that a man had approached him at a nightclub, requesting him to dance with his girlfriend. Saif declined the request, expressing that he wasn’t interested, but the situation quickly escalated into an unfortunate altercation.

He further said, "He said ‘You’ve got a million dollar face,' which I really loved so I think I started smiling, even though it’s probably not true, and then he said, 'and I am going to spoil it. Aapka chehra bahut acha hai aur mai usko bigaadne waala hoon. I’m going to F it up for you' and then he hit me with a whisky glass on my forehead and then we got into a fight. And then we ended up in the bathroom and I was wiping my wound because it was bleeding a lot."

The actor further explained that following the glass incident, the guy again attacked Saif with a soap dish. "So, there was a flood of blood, I thought I don’t know what’s happened so I was wiping it with water, I looked at him and ‘I said look what you did’, as in let’s make up now and he attacked me with the soap dish. So, he was a lunatic and he might have killed me," he added.

In a previous interview with Lehren, when asked why he chose not to file a complaint about the incident, Saif Ali Khan explained that he didn’t want to draw unnecessary attention to it. He also clarified in the same interview that he was not the one who initiated the altercation, adding that if any misleading reports surfaced, he would be ready to set the record straight.

On the professional front, Saif Ali Khan was last seen sharing screen space with Jr. NTR and Janhvi Kapoor in Devara. Up next, he is set to appear in Netflix's Jewel Thief.
