Sobhita Dhulipala has been a strong pillar of support for her husband Naga Chaitanya’s film Thandel even before its theatrical release. On the day of its premiere, she was seen proudly wearing a hoodie featuring the film’s design, a moment that Naga Chaitanya himself shared on social media.
Directed by Chandoo Mondeti, Thandel is a romantic action thriller that tells the gripping story of a fisherman who inadvertently crosses into Pakistani waters and his struggle to return home. The film is inspired by the true story of Chodipilli Musalayya, a fisherman who unknowingly ventured into Pakistani territory in 2000. Captured and imprisoned for two years, he finally made his way back to India in 2002 and resumed his life as a fisherman.
Thandel features a talented supporting cast, including Prakash Belawadi, Divya Pillai, Rao Ramesh, Karunakaran, and Babloo Prithiveeraj, who add depth to the film’s narrative.
