In a harsh interview with Filmibeat after the disclosure, Latha accused Nayanthara of being the direct cause of her marriage's disintegration.

Lady Superstar Nayanthara was in the midst of a media frenzy because of her contentious relationship with choreographer-director Prabhu Deva before she became one half of one of South India's most adored celebrity couples with filmmaker Vignesh Shivan.

Because Prabhu Deva was still legally married at the time, the romance, which started in the late 2000s, was heavily publicised and tainted by harsh criticism.

A Public Proclamation That Raised Debate

Despite being married to his first wife, Latha, Prabhu Deva made headlines in September 2010 when he publicly declared his love for Nayanthara and his intention to wed her. The industry was rocked by his announcement, particularly after rumours circulated that he had asked Latha for a divorce.

Latha's Furious Outburst

In a harsh interview with Filmibeat after the disclosure, Latha accused Nayanthara of being the direct cause of her marriage's disintegration. She strongly denounced the actress, accusing her of "stealing" her husband, even though she called Prabhu Deva a "sincere and kind husband."

"Our family law never permits a married person to marry another woman," Latha was cited as saying. Because Nayanthara intends to steal my husband from me, I have asked the police and legal system to place her under arrest. I will kick the actress in the face if I see her anywhere. She is the epitome of a bad woman.

Divorce and Legal Battle

Latha and Prabhu Deva's divorce was finalised in July 2010 in spite of the public outcry. But Prabhu and Nayanthara relationship also did not have an easy time after the split. Nayanthara reportedly became disillusioned with the marriage's delays and ultimately made the decision to split up.

The Split and Getting Over It

According to reports, Nayanthara and Prabhu Deva had called it quits on their romance by 2012. Although neither of them discussed the split in depth, it was generally assumed that Nayanthara had become impatient with the lack of clarity surrounding their future together, particularly after enduring a highly publicised controversy.

A Joyful Chapter Today, Nayanthara has moved past that turbulent period of her life. She is contentedly wed to director Vignesh Shivan, and the two of them are proud parents to twin boys. Their love story, which depicts the actress's journey from heartbreak to healing and personal joy, has grown to become one of the most admired in the South Indian film industry.

In spite of the harsh scrutiny from the media and her hardships, Nayanthara has come out stronger, not only as an actress but also as a woman who has persevered and rebuilt her life according to her terms.
