Ajay Devgn’s song Yug Devgan has finally entered the entertainment industry as he lends his voice to the Hindi-dubbed Karate Kid: Legends. The father and son duo recently attended the Hindi trailer launch event of the film and shared some behind-the-scenes and recalled childhood memories.

During the event, Yug was asked about watching his father, Ajay Devgn, on screen for the first time. He recalled, “I saw a film and I didn’t know it was him! Then I realized that he’s a star. I couldn’t believe it!”

However, Ajay Devgn chimed in and quipped, “He keeps making fun of me most of the times and he keeps bullying me!” Yug denied and said, “I don’t. He’s lying!”
Yug also said during the event, “I love him. Everyone loves him. He inspires me a lot.”

Ajay Devgn feels proud of his son

Ajay Devgn talks about his son and revealed how he felt proud when he was told that Yug did well during the rehearsals. He said, “I feel very proud. When he started dubbing, I was told that he would have to start his rehearsals first.”

The actor added, “On the first day of his rehearsal, I got a call informing that he did so well that they are going to incorporate some of his takes in the final cut! He took permission from the technician to call me. They agreed and he made me hear what he had dubbed by putting the phone on speaker. That felt so nice!”

Yug Devgan threw tantrums during rehearsals

Ajay Devgn also reflected on some of his son Yug Devgan’s antics. He revealed that Yug was excited when he first received the offer at this age. The actor added, “He doesn’t know yet what he wants to do in life. When he started working, he further got excited and also started throwing tantrums!”

Ajay Devgn is also a dad to Nysa Devgan

Bollywood actor Ajay Devgn tied the knot with Kajol on 24 February 1999 in a traditional Maharashtrian Hindu ceremony at the Devgan home after dating for four years. The couple welcomed their first child, a daughter, Nysa Devgan, in 2003 and their second child, a son, Yug Devgan, in 2010.

While Yug has just entered the entertainment world, Ajay and Kajol’s daughter, Nysa, has no plans to join Bollywood anytime soon.

Meanwhile, Ajay Devgn has lent his voice for the iconic Mr Han, played by Jackie Chan, while his son Yug debuts as the voice of Li Fong aka Ben Wang.

Directed by Jonathan Entwistle, Karate Kid: Legends features a stellar cast including Jackie Chan, Ralph Macchio, Ben Wang, Joshua Jackson, Sadie Stanley, and Ming-Na Wen.

Under the guidance of his teacher, Mr. Han and the legendary Daniel LaRusso, played by Ralph Macchio, Li embarks on a transformative journey of self-discovery, courage, and growth.

Karate Kid: Legends will hit the theatres on May 30, 2025, in English, Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu.
