Vivek Oberoi is speculated to star in upcoming film Ramayana

Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana is currently under production with Ranbir Kapoor and Yash already started the shooting of the upcoming film. However, some of the cast members are yet to be finalized, with several reports suggesting Anil Kapoor and Vikrant Massey joining the star-studded cast.

Anil Kapoor and Vikrant Massey were speculated to play the roles of King Janaka and Prince Meghnad in the movie. However, Pinkvilla has reported that a source close to the development has debunked the reports.

Meanwhile, a new report suggested that Vivek Oberoi has joined the cast and is expected to play a prominent role in the upcoming film. The actor will reportedly star as Vidyutjihva, a demon prince from the daitya clan and the husband of Surpanakha, played by Rakul Preet Singh.

Besides this, Vivek’s character is reported to have a battleground war with demon king Ravana, being played by Yash.

Devon Ke Dev... Mahadev fame actor Mohit Raina is also reportedly in talks to play Lord Shiva in the film.

The upcoming Indian mythology-inspired film features an ensemble cast including Sunny Deol, Ravi Dubey, and Lara Dutta in pivotal roles. Additionally, Kajal Aggarwal is speculated to play the role of Ravana's wife, Mandodari.

The film is set to release in two parts, with the first part scheduled for Diwali 2026 and the second part in 2027.

Ranbir Kapoor has recently sported a clean-shaven look as he plays Lord Ram alongside Sai Pallavi as Goddess Sita. Several photos and videos from the set are already going viral on social media.
