Veera Dheera Sooran saw a slow growth at box office

Veera Dheera Sooran, starring Vikram in the lead role, witnessed a slow start at the box office. The film hit the theatres on March 27 and had high expectations. Unfortunately, the film seems to face tough competition and earned an estimated Rs 3.40 Cr India net on the opening day.

According to Sacnilk, Veera Dheera Sooran collected around Rs 3.25 Cr net in India on its second day for all languages. The film’s total collection now stands at Rs 6.65 Cr.

The reports further suggested that the film recorded an overall occupancy rate of 27.02% in Tamil and 17.07% in Telugu on Friday, March 28, 2025.

Veera Dheera Sooran had a rough start at the box office due to delayed and canceled shows. Some morning and afternoon shows were canceled because of legal issues, and the film was initially stopped from playing by a court order.

After the issue was resolved, shows began playing from 5 pm on Thursday. Despite the slow start, the film is expected to do better over the weekend, especially since it was heavily promoted across India.

The rustic action thriller film is penned and directed by SU Arun Kumar. The movie features an ensemble cast, including Vikram, Dushara Vijayan, Suraj Venjaramoodu, and SJ Suryah. GV Prakash Kumar composed the music, and Theni Eswar handled the cinematography.

Veera Dheera Sooran revolves around a village head's battle with a cop tasked with encountering him and his son. The protagonist becomes entangled in this conflict and is forced to take on a final assignment. Notably, this film is the second installment, with the prequel scheduled for release later.
