Universal Music India teams up with Maddock Films for new label ‘Mad For Mussic’

Universal Music India (UMI), a division of Universal Music Group (UMG), the world leader in music-based entertainment, has officially announced a strategic partnership with Maddock Films, one of India’s most prolific Hindi film production studios, and its newly launched music label, Mad For Mussic, spearheaded by founder Dinesh Vijan.

UMI will be Mad For Mussic's worldwide strategic partner for all upcoming movie soundtracks, in addition to other business endeavours and product lines, as part of this partnership.

By fusing Maddock's dynamic storytelling with UMI's artist-centric approach, the partnership hopes to increase UMI's visibility in the Indian film music market, which is the biggest music segment in the nation. Additionally, Mad For Mussic's catalogue will benefit from greater worldwide exposure and opportunities by utilising UMG's vast international network.

Maddock Films has established itself as one of Bollywood's most inventive and prosperous production companies over the last 20 years. With critically acclaimed franchises like Stree, Bhediya, Munjya, and the soon-to-be Thama, Maddock Films, led by Dinesh Vijan, has pioneered the Horror-Comedy (Hor-com) genre.
