Bollywood singer Udit Narayan recently laughed at his own controversy surrounding a viral video where he was seen kissing his female fans.
The videos that have gone viral, Udit Narayan was seen kissing his female fans and it sparked backlash online, with many questioning the singer's actions and issues of consent.
At a recent event for the film Pintu Ki Pappi, the veteran singer joked about the incident. He said, “You should change the title. Pappi (kiss) is fine.Khubsurat title hai aapki, Pintu Ki Pappi. Aur Udit Ki Pappi toh nahi?” (Your film’s title is beautiful, Pintu Ki Pappi. It’s not Udit Ki Pappi, right?).
But he also went ahead and clarified that the video was not recent, but taken two years ago during one of his concerts in Australia.

Earlier, Udit Narayan had dismissed the backlash, saying that fan interactions can be spontaneous and overwhelming.
"Fans are really crazy. We are decent people, but fans show their love in different ways. Sometimes, they want a handshake, sometimes a kiss on the hand. It's all just fan craze," he said.
The film Pintu Ki Pappi, starring debutant actors Sushant, Janya Joshi, and Vidhi, will release on February 21. Bollywood veterans Vijay Raaz and Murali Sharma also star in the romantic comedy.
Udit Narayan's lighthearted approach to the controversy has led to mixed reactions from the netizens. While some have praised his sense of humour, others have criticised his actions, saying that they were unacceptable regardless of the circumstances.
