Twinkle Khanna claps back at trolls blaming her for Akshay Kumar's political views: People believe he is a toddler

Twinkle Khanna, the former actress and author, recently responded to the trolls who blame her for her husband Akshay Kumar's political views. She made it clear that her husband is not someone who blindly follows her opinions. In a column for The Times of India, Twinkle explained that people often question her about the differences in their political ideologies and even blame her for them.

Twinkle humorously pointed out the absurdity of these claims. "It’s almost as if people believe he isn’t my husband but a toddler who will listen to me when I say, ‘Beta ji, please walk on the left side of the road, and I’ll give you a Frooti,’" she wrote, emphasizing that Akshay is an adult with his own mind and decisions. She added that she cannot influence his political views, as he has his own thoughts and beliefs.

In her column, Twinkle also addressed the constant questioning about what it's like to be a 'star wife.' She explained that after two decades of answering this repetitive question, she has developed a thick skin and now responds with a sense of humor. "I have an oyster-like attitude to irritants and the ability to craft black pearls of wisdom in response," she wrote, showing her ability to handle such queries with grace.

Earlier, Akshay himself had spoken about the differences in their personalities and views. In an interview with Galatta Plus, he shared, "Me and my wife are very different. We are poles apart. She thinks left, I think right." He went on to mention that despite their differences, they share some common interests, such as enjoying early mornings and playing games like Rummy or Ludo together.

Akshay and Twinkle, who have been married since 2001, are parents to two children, Aarav and Nitara. Twinkle recently completed her Master's in Fiction Writing from Goldsmiths, University of London, showcasing her achievements beyond her career in acting.

On the work front, Akshay is currently starring in Sky Force, which was released in theaters on January 24.
