Kaun Banega Crorepati 17 recently became a talking point after 10-year-old Ishit Bhatt from Gujarat went viral for his behavior on the show. The fifth-grade student, who faced online trolling for being “rude” toward host Amitabh Bachchan, has now issued a heartfelt apology.

In his public note, Ishit admitted that his conduct during the episode came across wrong and that it was never his intention to be disrespectful. “I got nervous, and my attitude came out completely wrong,” he wrote. “It wasn’t my intention to be rude, I respect Amitabh Bachchan sir and the entire KBC team deeply.”

He went on to add that the entire experience was a major learning moment for him. “It taught me how words and actions can reflect one’s character, especially on a national platform like KBC,” he said. The young contestant acknowledged that the criticism helped him understand the importance of humility and self-awareness.

Social media had earlier been flooded with reactions to his episode. Many viewers felt that Ishit had spoken out of turn, interrupted Big B several times, and made comments about the show’s rules not being properly explained. After the episode aired, online discussions quickly turned harsh, with several users calling him the “arrogant” or “rude” kid from KBC.

In his apology, Ishit took full responsibility for his actions. “I promise to be more humble, respectful, and thoughtful in the future,” he wrote, referring to himself as “the ‘arrogant’ kid on KBC.” He also expressed regret for disappointing viewers who had expected better behavior. “I deeply regret if my words or tone hurt anyone. I was nervous and didn’t realize how it came across,” he said.

During his appearance, Ishit was seen interrupting Amitabh Bachchan and expressing frustration over the quiz rules. While some found his attitude disrespectful, others pointed out that he was only a child under pressure in front of millions of viewers.

After his apology, several people came forward to praise his honesty and courage. Celebrities like singer Chinmayi and cricketer Varun Chakravarthy also defended him, urging netizens to show empathy. They reminded everyone that children are still learning how to manage emotions and social pressure.

Kaun Banega Crorepati 17 airs on Sony Entertainment Television every Monday to Friday at 9 PM and is also available for streaming on SonyLIV.
