Dune: Prophecy teaser is here; Can you spot Tabu?

The blockbuster duology (on set to become a trilogy soon), ‘Dune’s’ prequel series, centering around the story of the Bene Gesserit is reported to release this fall. The official teaser trailer was released by Max, where the series will be airing.

‘Dune: Prophecy’ will be loosely based on the Brian Herbert Kevin J. Anderson's novel "Sisterhood of Dune”. The series will discover the origins of the Bene Gesserit sisterhood, unraveling their complex tapestry of influence within the vast expanse of the Imperium. The teaser transports you back to around 10,000 years before the revolutionary saga takes place. It will follow the tory of two Harkonnen sisters as they confront formidable adversaries endangering humanity's fate, while also laying the groundwork for the legendary faction, the Bene Gesserit.

With the release of the teaser for the highly anticipated series, there seems to be some sort of confusion. Or is there?

Legendary Indian actress Tabu who has received a slew of awards for her performances in the Indian film industry will be heading to the world of ‘Arrakis,’ as ‘Sister Francesca’ in the ‘Dune: Prophecy’ series, according to Variety.

Fans of the franchise and particularly Tabu’s have taken over the internet claiming that they could see the actor in the newly released teaser, though all the while the teaser didn’t give any clear shot of the famed Indian actor or her character. But some seem to disagree. Some fans are speculating that Tabu’s role is of vey high importance in the series, and hence they’re keeping her hidden, with the others claiming different.

One fan on X (previously known as Twitter), tweeted a photo of a bare-backed character in the teaser, and said, “THAT'S TABU'S BACK I'M 100% SURE OF IT. DUNE PROPHECY LFG!!!!!!!!”

While one fan commented on a tweet of the teaser asking, “Where is Tabu?”
