Aditya Srivastava and Manasi celebrates wedding anniversary

Aditya Srivastava has been involved in the entertainment industry for more than twenty years and has performed in several movies, but his most notable recognition comes from his character in the television series CID.

He played the role of Inspector Abhijeet on the show. The actor is married to Manasi Srivastava and has two kids, namely Arushi and Adwika. They got married in 2003, and today (November 22) they celebrate their anniversary. Their pictures dressed as bride and groom went viral on the internet, and while many thought that they were getting remarried, it was later learnt that they were dressed up to celebrate the special day.

For the uninitiated, CID isn't merely a television series; it represents a sentiment for its dedicated viewers, particularly those who grew up in the 1990s. The show has been one of the longest-running shows and was back with the second season. The Indian cult series began in 1998, and right from the start, it garnered immense affection and praise from the Indian viewers. Throughout the years, every character in the series became well-known, along with the actors who played them.

Besides the characters, the dialogues also achieved immortality. Even with its immense popularity, the show was cancelled in October 2018.

Aditya Srivastava was regarded as one of the key figures of CID, essential to the show, making it incomplete without him. The seasoned actor had been with the team from the start, and his role of Sr Inspector Abhijeet gained huge popularity, alongside Shivaji Satam’s ACP Pradyuman and Dayanand Shetty’s Sr Inspector Daya.

For the uninitiated, given the popularity and impact, the creators compensated Aditya Srivastava well. CID concluded in 2018, and in its last phase, the actor was allegedly compensated a substantial 85,000 rupees for filming each episode. At that time, this was quite a significant sum, highlighting Aditya's importance in the show.
