Ahead of Coldplay's highly anticipated concerts in Mumbai, traffic restrictions have been imposed in Navi Mumbai to ensure smooth movement and public safety. The concerts will take place at the DY Patil Stadium in Nerul on January 18, 19, and 21, 2025.
To manage the increased traffic flow during these event days, the Navi Mumbai traffic authorities have announced specific measures. Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic), Tirupati Kakade, has issued an order based on Sections 115, 116(1)(a)(b), and 117 of the Motor Vehicles Act. The key restriction is that heavy vehicles will not be allowed within certain parts of the city on these dates. Furthermore, all goods-carrying vehicles, including heavy trucks, are prohibited from entering, traveling, or parking on roads within the Navi Mumbai Police Commissionerate's jurisdiction.
DCP Kakade advised the public to plan their travel in advance and avoid roads near the stadium during the restricted hours. The restrictions will be in effect from 2 pm to 12 am on January 18, 19, and 21. He also assured that necessary arrangements would be made to ensure that emergency and essential services, such as ambulances, fire brigades, and government vehicles, can move freely despite the traffic restrictions.
This is Coldplay’s first performance in India since 2016, and the band’s return has created a lot of excitement. Coldplay is famous for its spectacular concerts, which include dazzling light displays, fireworks, and memorable performances. Fans can expect to hear songs from their latest album Music of the Spheres, new singles from their upcoming album Moon Music, as well as many of their beloved classic hits.

These concerts are expected to draw large crowds, so the traffic restrictions aim to minimize congestion and allow for a smooth experience for concert-goers and the general public. It is important for people traveling around Navi Mumbai on these dates to stay informed about the restrictions and plan their routes accordingly to avoid delays.
