Kannada actor Sarigama passes away at 76

Veteran Kannada actor Sarigama Viji, also known as Sarigama Vijay, passed away at 76. He had been receiving treatment at Manipal Hospital in Yeshwanthpur, Bengaluru, and was in critical condition in his final days, being admitted to the ICU. His son confirmed the sad news of his demise.

Veteran Kannada actor Sarigama Viji, also known as Sarigama Vijay, passed away at the age of 76. He had been undergoing treatment at Manipal Hospital in Yeshwanthpur, Bengaluru, before his demise. His son confirmed the sad news, revealing that he was in critical condition in his final days and was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).

A Stalwart in Sandalwood

Sarigama Viji was a well-known figure in the Kannada film industry. His career began in 1980 with a small role in the movie Belavalada Madilalli, directed by Geethapriya.

Over the years, he acted in 269 films and also worked as an assistant director in 80 movies. His dedication to cinema helped him carve a niche in the industry, and he gained immense popularity among audiences.

A Legacy in Kannada Television

Apart from his contributions to cinema, Sarigama Viji was also a significant figure in Kannada television. He acted in more than 2,400 episodes of various TV serials, earning admiration for his versatility. His ability to bring characters to life with his impeccable acting made him a household name.
