Telangana Govt Warns Diljit Dosanjh: Avoid Songs Promoting Alcohol, Drugs or Violence at Concert

Punjabi singer-actor Diljit Dosanjh is set to perform tonight in Hyderabad as part of his Dil-Luminati tour, which spans 10 Indian cities, including Mumbai, Kolkata, and Guwahati. The Telangana government has issued a notice to Dosanjh, urging him to avoid singing songs that promote alcohol, drugs, or violence, a reference to his popular hits like Patiala Peg and 5 Taara. The notice also warns against the use of children during the show, citing potential harm from loud sounds and flashing lights. Dosanjh’s Hyderabad show follows his successful performances in Delhi and Jaipur, where he apologised for a fake ticket scam that affected fans. The Dil-Luminati tour will conclude in Guwahati on December 29.
