Tanishaa Mukerji recently opened up about her bond with her niece and nephew — Nysa Devgn and Yug Devgn. In an interview with Pinkvilla, Tanishaa shared insights about how her relationship with them has evolved over the years, especially now that both are teenagers.
When asked if she considers herself the “cool aunt,” Tanishaa admitted that she no longer holds that title. She said, “We are not cool. We stopped being cool the moment they became teenagers.”
She further explained that the teenage phase often distances children from family members, as they lean more towards friendships. Tanishaa remarked, “Till 35 we are going to be uncool, 35 ke baad shayad hum wapas cool ban jayenge.”
The actor also touched on the challenges of interacting with teens. She admitted that one often has to be mindful of what to say. "You are just craving love from them (laughs). That is teenagers,” she added.
Tanishaa was full of praise for her nephew Yug and she credited her sister Kajol for his upbringing. She said, “He is a very well brought up boy, and I give it all to my sister. Main toh biased hu toh main Ajay (Ajay Devgn) ko koi credit nahi dungi. All credit to my sister. She is an outstanding mother. She is the best mother in the world. I know because I felt it. She was my mother a lot of the times.”
