Taapsee Pannu and Mathias Boe, who have been together for 13 years, recently got married on March 22 in Udaipur. Although they haven't released any official pictures yet, the wedding planning company they own, The Wedding Factory, shared a glimpse of the décor from their haldi ceremony on their official Instagram page.
The haldi ceremony is a traditional pre-wedding event in Indian weddings where a paste made from turmeric is applied to the bride and groom. The décor for Taapsee and Mathias's haldi was very creative and personalised. It started with blocks that had custom illustrations of the couple, adding a fun and unique touch. The setting was filled with Indian artistic elements mixed with modern twists like disco balls.
Highlights of the décor included painted shuttlecocks and marigold flowers, combining traditional Indian elements with personal touches that reflected the couple’s personalities. The area was made vibrant with multi-colored lounge seating and a special ‘haldi throne’ fully decorated in bright flowers. The setting also featured Turkish carpets and spices adding an exotic flavor to the décor.
The music setup was called an Indi-fusion DJ console, decorated with playful phrases like ‘Horn Ok Please,’ ‘Desi Swag,’ and ‘Bollywood Mania,’ adding a fun and festive vibe to the ceremony.
This unique blend of traditional and modern, personal and cultural elements made their haldi ceremony very special, reflecting both Taapsee and Mathias’s personalities and their journey together. The wedding was a private affair, attended by close friends and family.
