Superman OTT Release: Know when and where to watch James Gunn film in India

Big news for Superman fans! Director James Gunn has officially confirmed the OTT release date for the blockbuster Superman (2025). Already the highest-grossing Superman film in the US, the movie is set to soar into homes worldwide, bringing the Man of Steel’s latest adventure to an even larger audience.

While Superman continues its strong box office run, reports suggest fans won’t have to wait much longer to enjoy it at home. The film will soon be available on major streaming platforms, including Amazon Prime Video, Apple TV, and Fandango.

Taking to his official X (formerly Twitter) account, Gunn wrote:

“#Superman is coming to your homes this Friday, 8/15. Available now for pre-order. Or catch it while it’s still in theaters!”

According to The Wrap, Superman will make its digital debut on August 15, 2025. Physical copies in 4K UHD, Blu-ray, and DVD formats will hit shelves on September 23, ensuring collectors and fans can own the film in its highest quality.

Directed by James Gunn, Superman (2025) offers a fresh take on the superhero’s origin story. It follows Clark Kent (David Corenswet) during his early days as a reporter, navigating his dual identity while balancing the challenges of his Kryptonian heritage and human upbringing in Smallville.

The cast features an impressive lineup: Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane, Nicholas Hoult as Lex Luthor, Edi Gathegi as Mister Terrific, Anthony Carrigan as Metamorpho, Nathan Fillion as Green Lantern, and Isabela Merced as Hawkgirl. The movie hit theaters on July 11, 2025, and quickly became a fan favourite.

James Gunn previously shared his heartfelt appreciation for the audience’s response, saying:
