The couple, who tied the knot in 2020, have been facing challenges in their relationship. Reports suggest that their marriage has been crumbling and they have mutually chosen to separate.

David, who is 49 years old, and Lily, 39, first met in 2019 through a celebrity dating app. Their relationship became public in 2020 when they appeared together at the Screen Actors Guild Awards. Shortly after, they got married in a private ceremony in Las Vegas in September 2020.

David also said that taking on the responsibility of being a stepfather was a significant commitment for him, one that made him feel more mature and like an "adult."
