Bollywood star Sonu Sood congratulated Hollywood actor Adrien Brody for winning the Best Actor award for The Brutalist at the 97th Academy Awards.
Taking to Instagram, Sonu Sood shared a photo with the Oscar-winner and wrote in the caption, "Congratulations my brother @adrienbrody on your second Oscar. Many more on your way #oscar."
Adrien clinched the Best Actor award at the 97th Academy Awards for his gripping performance as Lázló Tóth in The Brutalist. The film follows Tóth, a Holocaust survivor who embarks on a journey to the United States in pursuit of the American Dream. Spanning three decades, the story delves into his struggles, his groundbreaking yet unconventional architectural designs, and his unwavering commitment to artistic integrity despite societal resistance.
Brody’s win came against strong competition from Timothée Chalamet (A Complete Unknown), Colman Domingo (Sing Sing), Ralph Fiennes (Conclave), and Sebastian Stan (The Apprentice).
Adrien Brody, who first won the Academy Award for Best Actor in 2003 for The Pianist, secured his second Oscar after a 22-year gap. This marks the second-longest interval between Best Actor wins in Oscar history.
In his acceptance speech, Brody made a heartfelt plea for a more inclusive world, emphasizing the importance of diversity and unity. “There’s no place any more for antisemitism. There’s no place for racism," he said.

“I pray for a healthier and a happier and a more inclusive world, and I believe if the past can teach us anything, it’s a reminder to not let hate go unchecked. Let’s fight for what’s right, keep smiling, keep loving one another. Let’s rebuild together. Thank you," said Adrien as he concluded his speech.
Meanwhile, Sonu Sood was last seen in the film Fateh, released on January 10, 2025. He was seen alongside Jacqueline Fernandez, Shivjyoti Rajput, Naseeruddin Shah, and others in key roles.
